Hello Friend. Every effort has been made to make Material Girlfriend patterns error free. However, mistakes occasionally happen. Please check this page for any edits to the pattern you intend to sew.

Material Girlfriends Patterns can not be held responsible for variants in workmanship and materials. No portion of any Material Girlfriend pattern may be reproduced including photocopying. A basic knowledge of quilting is assumed, therefore detailed instructions are not included in the patterns. Trip Around the Sun

Early copies of Winter Page 1 – Error in some appliqué pieces called out for the wrong fabric color. Correct numbers and colors below. Honestly, the greens were a random mix so whichever green you use will be fine. The female cardinal’s body and wing colors were swapped. You’ll want the coral for the body, and red for the wing.

TRIM your Half Square Triangles by lining up the seam with the 45° line on your ruler. Trim to 2 1/2″. Repeat for the dark blue, medium blue, medium purple, and dark purple 3″ squares.

After the strips of fabric have all been added, creating a wonky pleated tree, add background pieces 15 5 and 16 6. Trim on the outside solid line. Sew backing rectangle right side to wrong side of tree, 1/4″ seam on all sides. The backing fabric will show through the pleats.
